Bookmarks and flowers

I am very happy! The card I made for  the 10th challenge on Take a Quill Pill is the winner of the month, together with Nimisha's card! It was a great surprise for me! You should check the new challenge, it's a very good one. For me will be for sure a challenge :) And the Design Team made great projects for inspiration!

This weekend I planned to make a few cards, but finally I ended up making bookmarks for my dear ones :) I used for inspiration Lin's bookmarks.

And I wanted to show you a beautiful cactus about a few weeks ago, but I forgot about it. Ooops :) A few details about this kind of cactus you can find on Ileana's blog.

Wish you all a wonderful and very creative week!

Fluturi

Hana no kusudama

Un model origami Hana no kusudama, autor Mariko Kubo.

Me, happy!!!

I had such beautiful surprises these days from my dear blogger friends! I received two awards! It was a big surprise for me and I received them with a lot of emotion! Mean a lot to me to know that what I fold or roll from paper brings special feelings in the souls of those who visit my blog and that they like what they see here!

I would like to thank Dr. Sonya and Helen for The Irresistibly Sweet Blog Award!

The rules for the Irresistibly Sweet Blog Award :
1. Send a thank you to the person who nominated you and include their link.
2. To accept this award, answer 7 random facts about yourself.
3. Pass the award to at least 8 other blog buddies.

I will pass this award with love and pleasure to:

And many thanks to Mihaela for A thing of Beauty Award!

The rules for the A Thing of Beauty Award:
1. You must share 5 things about yourself  (1 of the listed items must be something about crafting)
One of the rules for these awards is to say something about yourself. But I will change it a little and I will tell you how my blogger journey started :)
Because I like a lot to read I thought that would be a good idea to have a blog where to write a few words about the books I read and especially about those I loved reading. In the same time a quote from one of them or a poem. So this was the start!
But I loved origami models as well, though never had the courrage to try to fold one. Until the fall of 2009  when I discovered the Romanian Origami Forum with so nice people, so willing to help, to give advises. Since then all my spare time, when I wasn't reading :), I spent folding paper.
In January this year I wanted a special gift for my mother and my cousin Alina proposed me a quilled daisy. It turned out so beautiful that I thought "Why not try more quilled models?" In this way I entered another beautiful art of using paper, quilling!
I want to say that I am very happy that I started to post my models on the blog, to share with others! In this way I became part of another magic world. This time not through the printed words, but using the hands and paper. I had the occasion to find so amazing projects and so beautiful souls all over the world!
Thank you my dear blog friends for your visit, comments and encouragement! Means a lot for me!

Wish you beautiful days and time for your favourite craft projects!
