Squares and quilled flowers

I love these little punched squares with border and thinking for a long time to put some flowers on them. Now was the perfect time:)

 
I made this card having in mind a little gift with a ribbon, a red satin ribbon.

Love the combination of these simple flowers, the pale yellow, red and pale pink.

Quilling tulip

I will start with my favorite flower, tulip. I love tulips, but didn't try to quill so many. 

 

Last year, when I started to quill, I managed to make a few tulips. I feel that is one is more delicate.

The satin ribbon is really beautiful, love it. I used a paper ring instead of gluing the ribbon on card, a ring which you will see on other cards, too, because I like how it turned out.

And a close up of my fragile tulip:) The stems are made with doubled paper.

Martisoare quilling

Hello again! Thank you very much for your visits and kind words! Hope my cards will raised to your expectations:) They are all clean and simple, like I used to make them. But for start my martisoare.

A very, very small part of them! These were the basic models I used: flowers, butterflies, clover and lady bug. I made the flowers and butterflies in different colours. I tell you that loved making those red, tiny flowers, they were my favorites!

Busy with spring:)

More than a week of silence on my blog! Busy, busy, busy with spring, like Anca said. I have my first order for martisoare and 8 of March cards! More than 70 martisoare and 50 cards!!! Sounded a little bit scary for me, but hopefully I will manage to get them ready in time.

I think you already know from the Romanian and Bulgarian blogs about the celebration of spring on 1st of March:)

 I found these colorful paper strips very inspirational!

So, I made a lot of rolls for my martisoare and cards. I think they are very handy! Is a lot easier to make my flowers and butterflies having all these prepared! And, to be honest, I just love looking at them, brings my spirits up!

But, please, don't imagine my cards will be so, so colorful! No, most of my orders were for a lot of white and red:) That means a lot of white and red on my blog in the next days.

Happy Valentine's Day 3

My third Valentine's card! For this one the inspiration was Ann Martin's card. Mine didn't came out so simple and elegant, but I love it anyway. The part I don't really like is that I have too much red on it and not different kinds of red:( The little birds are inspired by Azlina's delicate birds. I just love them!
